Playing a DVD in the PC

Hey everyone. I need some help navigating through the various parts of a DVD on the computer. I am using the Power DVD software. I can get a DVD movie to start running by putting it in and letting it play, but I know that I should be able to select portions and jump to them, etc., as sighted people do with conventional DVD players. Any hints on this, or any other software I should be using? Thanks!

I use either the application context menu key or the right mouse click to get some of the menu features. I use it to pause or stop it, things like that.
